Event Overview
This is an exciting new Dunedin race. Starting at Watercooled Sports, it is an out and back course, following the cycleway with the 5km event turning at Vauxhall and the 10km event turning at the Cove.
This is the perfect event for both the novice and elite level athlete, and the course has been designed to provide the best opportunity to run a personal best time.
The 10km event incorporates the Otago 10km Road Championships.

Entry Fees
Entry is available online and is to be paid in full by 11 October 2020. Online entries will close on Saturday 17 October 10pm 2020.
Entries will be accepted at race pack pick-up sessions. Cash only.
Late fee
Due to the short timeframe for entries, no late fees will be applied to the race. Late entries will be accepted at one of the race pack collection sessions. Cash payment only available.
Note: there will be NO entries on the day of the race.

Race Rules
- The event is run under athletics NZ rules, open to all bona fide amateurs, registered, or not registered with Athletics New Zealand.
- Runners must keep to the left hand side of the cycleway and footpaths where possible.
- Race officials reserve the right to remove competitors showing signs of distress during the race.
- iPods and headphones are prohibited.
- Race numbers must be clearly displayed at all times.
- Age is restricted to 14 at the time of the event.
Changing Facilities
Toilet facilities will be available at the start.
Start / finish location
Both the 10km and 5km still start and finish outside Watercooled Sports 9 Kitchener Street, Dunedin.
Pace Packs
Race packs will be able to be collected on Saturday 17 October between 3-5pm at the Hill City-University Athletic Clubrooms (on Logan Park Drive, next to Sport Otago).
Race packs will also be available to collect on Sunday 18 October, race day, at Watercooled sports 8am until race start. No entries available at this time however.
Features
Hill City’s Children’s Athletic Club will be running a BBQ, so bring your loose change.
There will be a coffee van on site to purchase coffee from at the event.
Event photography will be available for free on the Hill City-University Facebook page.
Prizes
Prizegiving at approximately 11:30am after the last competitor finishes, this will be held at the Finish line. However, if it is wet the prize-giving will be held at the Hill City-University clubrooms (on Logan Park Drive, next to Sport Otago).
Prize packs to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female in the 10km/5kmSpot Prizes (these will be automatically generated).
Results
Certificates will be given to all entrants. Results will be available on the Results page as soon as possible after the event.
Parking
Parking will be available along the wharf area surrounding Watercooled sports.
Aid Stations
There will be 1 aid station on the course just before the 5km turnaround.
First Aid
First Aid will be provided.
