Incorporating the Otago 10km Road Championship
This is an exciting new Dunedin race. Starting at Watercooled Sports, it is an out and back course, following the cycleway with the 5km event turning at Vauxhall and the 10km event turning at the Cove.
This is the perfect event for both the novice and elite level athlete, and the course has been designed to provide the best opportunity to run a personal best time.
The 10km event incorporates the Otago 10km Road Championships.

Entry is available online and is to be paid in full by 11 October 2020, or late entry fee applies. Online entries will close on Thursday 16 October 2020.
Entries will be accepted at race pack pick-up sessions only after this date, with late fee applied.
All entries received after 6 October at 5pm will have a late fee applied to them. The late entry fee is $10. Late entries will be accepted at one of the race pack collection sessions. Cash payment only available.
Note: there will be NO entries on the day of the race.

- The event is run under athletics NZ rules, open to all bona fide amateurs, registered, or not registered with Athletics New Zealand.
- Runners must keep to the left hand side of the cycleway and footpaths where possible.
- Race officials reserve the right to remove competitors showing signs of distress during the race.
- iPods and headphones are prohibited.
- Race numbers must be clearly displayed at all times.
- Age is restricted to 14 at the time of the event.
Toilet facilities will be available at the start.
Start / finish location
Both the 10km and 5km still start and finish outside Watercooled Sports 9 Kitchener Street, Dunedin.
Race packs will be able to be collected on Friday 16 October between 4-6pm and Saturday 17 October between 3-5pm at the Hill City-University Athletic Clubrooms (on Logan Park Drive, next to Sport Otago).
Race packs will also be available to collect on Sunday 18 October, race day, at Watercooled sports 8am until race start. No entries available at this time however.
Hill City’s Children’s Athletic Club will be running a BBQ, so bring your loose change.
There will be a coffee van on site to purchase coffee from at the event.

Prizegiving at approximately 11:30am after the last competitor finishes, this will be held at the Finish line. However, if it is wet the prize-giving will be held at the Hill City-University clubrooms (on Logan Park Drive, next to Sport Otago).

Certificates will be given to all entrants. Results will be available on the Results page as soon as possible after the event.
Parking will be available along the wharf area surrounding Watercooled sports.
There are two water stations on the 10km course. One at the 5km turn around point, and one at the 10km turn around point.
First Aid will be provided.
