2015 South Island champs

The entries for the 2015 South Island champs are now open at 2015southislandchamps.eventdesq.com

To be held on Saturday 12th December starting at 9am. Entries will close at midnight 10th December. No late entries will be accepted.

Please disseminate this information as widely as possible. Place on your websites and Facebook pages please. Most of the event information is on this link, including draft program and meeting rules. This information will also be posted on the Athletics Otago website and a link to this site will be on the ANZ website.

Entry fee is $10 in cash on the day at least a half hour before an athlete’s first event (excludes AO season gate pass holders). A competition number will be issued at this time – no competition number = no competition.

Please read the summary on the home page and the meeting rules. Athletes enter from their centre and may wear either club or centre uniforms.

A 4x200m & 4x800m relay will be run. Teams maybe from the centre, club or mixed, but an athlete having refused to run in a centre team may not run in any other team.

Accommodation: We are trying to secure accommodation with one of the university hostels and will be able to confirm this information later this week, if it is available.

Traveling Officials are to contact either Joan at alexandjoan@xnet.co.nz  or Bryce at bswattnow@gmail.com or 021 02813757 if they wish to officiate.

Younger Siblings/Children: As this meeting is being held in conjunction with an Otago Children’s Athletics meeting in the earlier part of the day, children that are fully registered members of clubs may compete (Grades 7-14). They do not need to pre enter but must report to the bottom control room by 9.30 to get a competition number and be entered into Meet Manager. There is no entry fee for these children.

We are planning to run a BBQ at the end of the program.

Otago Children’s Athletic Committee will be running a fund raising BBQ up until lunch time. A coffee car should also be there.
